Foundation Mission
The Buckeye Education Foundation gathers and distributes resources to the Buckeye Local School District to support activities that enhance, enrich, and supplement instructional opportunities for school district learners consistent with the School District Mission Statement.

Robotics Update
There was so much excitement following the training session for teachers and several students of the Lego NXT Robots in December, that the Robotics Committee of the Buckeye Education Foundation chose to purchase kits for the entire 6th grade this school year. The sixth grade science teachers have plans to incorporate the robots into their science curriculum to teach engineering terms and concepts. The Robotics Committee is encouraging competitions within Buckeye Elementary school for the 2008-2009 school year. These competitions would be a stepping stone for future robotics competitions on a regional and national level.
Science classes in third and fifth grades are continuing to use Lego kits purchased by the Buckeye Education Foundation to enhance science concepts with hands-on activities. All students in these grades have received a RoBucks brochure to share with their families detailing the project. We are very excited for the future of the RoBucks program and know Buckeye students will learn with these exciting projects. See them in action here!
Foundation Fundraiser
The Riverstone restaurant in Valley City is a local establishment that believes in giving back to the local community. Starting in March, they have established what they call “Give-back Tuesday". Every Tuesday the Riverstone will donate 10% of their total revenue that day to a community group or charity. On the 1st Tuesday of the month that 10% will go to the Buckeye Schools Education Foundation. What a great way to support the Foundation and enjoy a night out!
